We spent many weeks traveling and eating at some of the most highly rated restaurants in the UK. Barley Bree was in our top three. The food,service,wine and location was beautiful. The combination of Scottish and French influences was a night to remember. A tip, sit out in the back garden for pre- dinner drinks and order your dinner for the night ahead. After main course again if the weather suits have your deserts under the stars. Sublime
Went for late lunch just after 2pm. Fair enough...kitchen closed but the way we were told i felt like primary 7 being late for school. So we were shunted through to the bar.....onl6 coffee. Which was so bitter and stewed it was undrinkable. And we were quickly told nobody else had ever complained.What is wrong with these people that they cant even be pleasant to their customers.Your loss!
Food superb and service equally so. Great ambience and beautifully refurbished. Ambitiously expensive when compared with other restaurants in the area. You won't be disappointed by the quality of the food though. We've visited several times and it's always top quality

Amazingly good food enjoyed by us all. Highly recommend this restaurant. Pleasant surroundings, ample portions. The staff could not be more helpful. Catered well for my dietary needs.
